Hot Fuzz

I'm a massive fan of Spaced and Shaun of the Dead. The same crew have started work on a new flick called Hot Fuzz:

"This highly-anticipated next project from co-writers Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, creators of Shaun of the Dead, is a comedy about a successful London cop (Nicholas Angel) who is seconded to the sleepy West Country village of Sandford which is he soon realises may not be quite as idyllic as it first appears.

Once again Wright directs whilst Pegg leads the cast, joined by Shaun of the Dead co-star, Nick Frost, and a stellar British cast including Jim Broadbent, Timothy Dalton and Martin Freeman."

Working title have set up a video blog. Here are links to part 1, 2 and 3. Best exchange so far:
Pegg: "What have you done on Hot Fuzz so far?"
Frost: "A stunt, some gun work. And I ate two cakes."

April Fools 2006

Here's a list of some hoax April Fool articles run by UK newspapers over the weekend. Someone-who-shall-remain-nameless was (temporarily) sucked in by the Express's Biscuit Highway story, and I admit I was suckered by the Observer's claim that Chris Martin had gone Tory (although only for the first paragraph, honest.) This has to be my favourite 2006 hoax though, if only because it'd be cool if it were true.
